Instructions for Parents/Teachers:
Preview Phase (Memory Building)
Show the Hidden Pictures worksheet to your child for 10–20 seconds (adjust for age and ability).
Let them study the picture quietly, focusing on remembering as many hidden items as possible.
Hide the Picture
Remove or cover the worksheet completely.
Ask: "Can you remember three of the hidden items you saw?"
Let them list what they recall (verbally or on paper).
Recall & Locate Phase
Return the worksheet to the child.
Ask them to only circle the items they remembered during the preview.
Bonus Search (Optional)
After circling the remembered items, allow them to find and circle any remaining hidden objects.
You can compare how many they recalled from memory versus how many they found during the search.
Tips:
Start with fewer objects or a shorter preview time for younger children.
You may also allow them to draw the items they remember before checking the worksheet.
Praise effort, not just accuracy—building memory takes time.
Skills Strengthened:
Visual memory
Attention to detail
Focus and concentration
Delayed recall
Right Brain Connection: This activity strengthens the child's ability to visualize, store, and retrieve images—activating right brain functions such as imagination and picture memory.
Optional Extension: Use a timer, sticker chart, or progress tracker to record how many items your child remembers over time.
These free resources are intended as optional support and enrichment. For a complete, structured learning journey, families may wish to explore our Year-Long Right Brain Training Programme when ready.
